Young Researcher Mentorship is a 1-2 year research program for European MDs who want to start conducting glaucoma research in their clinic.
EGS offers remote mentoring for glaucoma research projects that are conducted by the Young Researchers at their local clinic.
The goal of the program is to learn the fundamentals of clinical research by completing an individual research project, by studying self-study material, and attending monthly group meetings.
Research projects are planned and conducted under the guidance of 2 EGS mentors and a local mentor. Each Young Researcher will carry out their own clinical research project, from project planning to presentation of results at the next EGS Congress.
The application period is 1.3.2025-30.4.2025. The acceptance emails will be sent by 30.6.2025 The first group meeting where the different projects are presented is in August 2025. The clinical research projects are presented at the EGS Congress in Brussels, May 30, 2026 - 2 June 2026.
