EGS to create a European-wide platform for collection of data on all aspects of glaucoma management
Activities:
To establish clear, structured and standardized requirements and guidelines on data elaboration, collection and reporting
To create a Europe-wide database with potential for benchmarking using outcomes validated by all stakeholders
To assist in policy decisions regarding eyecare, either at European-level and/or in localized geographic settings
To promote real-world studies to provide further insights into disease management strategies
Achievements:
EGS Survey on RWD availability across Europe : First round 2023 complete, new round for selected centers with EMR including other aspects: federated learning, access to data scientists, genomics.
Submission of a Horizon Europe Grant: HORIZON-HLTH-2023-TOOL-05-04 EuCanSee: EUROPEAN INFRASTRUCTURE FOR FEDERATED ANALYSIS OF RESEARCH AND REAL-WORLD DATA FROM EYE CARE
