Setting the Target IOP

There is little evidence to support any particular algorithm to set the target IOP" (...) Target IOP should be reviewed at each monitoring visit based on the clinical course of glaucoma or of other ocular or systemic diseases. If the target IOP has not been reached, but the glaucoma is stable, then the target IOP may be revised. There is no single target IOP level that is appropriate for every patient, so the target IOP needs to be estimated separately for each eye of every patient and adapted to changing patient status.
