Laser trabeculoplasty

ALT and SLT have the same IOP-lowering efficacy. Laser trabeculoplasty is initially effective in 80 to 85% of treated eyes with a mean IOP reduction of 20 to 25% or 4 to 9 mmHg, likely to be greater for primary treatment than for those already on medication. The effect wears off over time for both ALT and SLT.
